Liverpool transfer news: Marco Asensio threatens to leave Real Madrid amid Reds interest
MARCO ASENSIO is considering leaving Real Madrid amid interest from Liverpool, according to reports.
The Spaniard has struggled to hold down a first-team place at the club despite another impressive season at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Asensio is constantly battling for his spot with the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale and Isco.
But another name the youngster may have to compete with soon is PSG star Neymar.
The Brazilian has been heavily linked with a move to the Champions League winners.
And according to Spanish outlet Diario Gol, Asensio is threatening to quit Madrid if Neymar is signed this summer.

The 22-year-old is said to have repeatedly told team-mates he is leaving whenever the Brazilian gets brought up in the club's dressing room.
Asensio will no doubt attract interest from a wealth of European heavyweights if he decides to leave Madrid in the future.
And Diario Gol claim Liverpool have enquired about the attacker's services on more than one occasion.

The Reds, alongside Juventus and PSG, are said to be very keen on signing Asensio in the coming months.
Neymar only signed for the French champions last summer but is already being linked with a return to La Liga.
The attacker is said to be unsettled at PSG, and would favour a Madrid move.
