Condemning the behaviour of Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao towards employees of the Road Transport Corporation, Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee president N. Uttam Kumar Reddy said it showed the autocratic set up of the TRS government.
“Disqualification of legislators Komatireddy Venkat Reddy and Sampath Kumar, and not reinstating them is another such example,” he said at the installation of the statue of former Congress parliamentarian Palvai Govardhan Reddy at his birthplace. Addressing a public gathering later, the TPCC chief did not miss taking a dig at Mr. Rao, and the state of affairs in Telangana.
“The timing of Rythu Bandhu scheme, a year before the elections speaks of the CM’s intentions. Why was it not introduced in 2014 itself?” he asked.
Congress Legislature Party leader K. Jana Reddy recalled Mr. Govardhan Reddy’s efforts for Nalgonda. A host of leaders, including former minister Vayalar Ravi, senior leader M.V. Mysura Reddy, and members of the Palvai family were present.
