Wheat edges up on scattered flour mills demand

In restricted activity, prices inched up by Rs 5 per at the wholesale grains market today due to mild demand from mills.

However, other grains remained flat in thin trade.

Traders said increased demand from mills amid pause in arrivals from producing belts mainly led to rise in prices.

In the national capital, dara (for mills) inched up by Rs 5 to Rs 1,750-1,755 per Atta chakki delivery followed suit and traded higher by a similar margin to Rs 1,755-1,760 per 90 kg.

Atta mills and maida also edged up by Rs 5 each to Rs 945-955 and Rs 965-975 per 50 kg respectively.
