In restricted activity, wheat prices inched up by Rs 5 per quintal at the wholesale grains market today due to mild demand from flour mills.
However, other grains remained flat in thin trade.
Traders said increased demand from flour mills amid pause in arrivals from producing belts mainly led to rise in wheat prices.
In the national capital, wheat dara (for mills) inched up by Rs 5 to Rs 1,750-1,755 per quintal. Atta chakki delivery followed suit and traded higher by a similar margin to Rs 1,755-1,760 per 90 kg.
Atta flour mills and maida also edged up by Rs 5 each to Rs 945-955 and Rs 965-975 per 50 kg respectively.
