JSP chief to hold discussions with representatives of various communities

Jana Sena Party (JSP) president Pawan Kalyan has decided to temporarily suspend his porata yatra from Sunday till Id-ul-Fitr is over.

Mr. Pawan has taken this decision to enable some of his personal staff, who are Muslims, to celebrate the festival, according to a JSP release.

The JSP president will, however, hold meetings with representatives of various communities to know their problems and take their suggestions. On Saturday, he held discussions with intellectuals, including former Vice-Chancellor of Dravidian University K.S. Chalam. He will continue to meet various sections of people in the city on Sunday and Monday also.

Mr. Pawan would utilise the time to know about various issues pertaining to the backwardness of North Andhra. He will leave for Hyderabad on Monday evening.

He would resume his yatra in Visakhapatnam district after Id-ul-Fitr.
