City Mayor Sunkara Pavani on Friday inaugurated jewellery-cum-trendywear exhibition at the SRMT Function Hall on the Main Road here. A joint venture of Hyderabad-based Vasundharas and D-Exhibition, the show has on display gold ornaments, imitation jewellery, saris and dress materials from different parts of the country.
Speaking on the occasion, Ms. Pavani congratulated the organisers Nandamuri Prabha Deepika and Koneru Jayasree for bringing latest fashion jewellery and clothes to the doorstep of womenfolk here.
The organisers said that after conducting a series of exhibitions in cities like Hyderabad, Bangalore, Chennai and Coimbatore, their firm stepped into the city for the first time with exotic designs in jewellery and clothes. “We have kept in mind the middle class, working women and girl students here while choosing designs for this show,” they said.
The exhibition would be on from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. till June 10.
