Lightning claims 2 lives

Two persons were killed after being struck by lightning near Khetko canal on Kathara-Tenughat Road  in Bermo area under the Tenughat police station here on Friday afternoon, Police sources said .

According to information, two persons who were coming back their house from Tenughat court at Surahi village in Nawadih block in motorcycle. Both were on way to their home and reached near Khetko village in the open road in the afternoon on Friday, when lightning struck on them. Both of them died on the spot.

The deceased have been identified as Din Mohamad and Jalaluddin, Both have been belonging to Surhi village within limits of Nawadih police station. Meanwhile the local police and their family members rushed to spot as after getting information from local villagers. They were declared dead after being struck by lightning while they were coming back from Tenughat court, said SDPO, Subash Chandra jat of Bermo.
