Liverpool transfer news: Dortmund star drops HUGE hint as Nabil Fekir deal stalls
NABIL FEKIR'S transfer to Liverpool is up in the air at present - but could the Reds turn to Mario Gotze this summer instead?
The Frenchman was fully expected to be announced as the newest member of Jurgen Klopp's side on Friday.
However, an old injury has scuppered an imminent move, with Liverpool now concerned that Fekir could suffer a recurrence of his of his old knee problems.
The Reds will certainly be looking for a new attacking midfielder this summer.
And should the Fekir deal fall through, Klopp may look towards one of his former Dortmund stars - Mario Gotze.
And it appears the German would 'always' consider a reunion with his former coach.

He is a world-class coach and that’s why it’s always an option
“I decided to leave Bayern and Jurgen Klopp was interested in getting me to Liverpool," Gotze told the DAZN documentary ‘Being Mario Gotze’.
"And I was also interested in working with him again.
“It’s still existing.
"He is a world-class coach and that’s why it’s always an option.”
Gotze failed to impress after switching to Bayern Munich in 2013.
But the 26-year-old is once again enjoying his football at Dortmund, despite failing to make Joachim Low's Germany squad for this summer's World Cup.
As for Fekir, the 24-year-old suffered a serious knee injury in 2015 while playing for France.
The playmaker was back-pedalling to receive a pass when he went down just 14 minutes into the game.
Fekir has since recovered and is said to be fully fit heading into next week's World Cup.
