Sengar in dock for planting pistol on Unnao rape victim’s father

Sleuths of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) are tightening their grip around Bharatiya Janta Party MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar, and his close aides after booking the MLA in the rape case. The probing team now named the MLA and four others for planting a country made revolver in the possession of the rape victim’s father, who later died in district jail at Unnao.

CBI took Sengar and his colleagues again in their custody remand on Friday morning and they will grill him that from where he procured the weapon and how he get it planted to get the rape victim’s father arrested in a fake case. Sources said that the CBI now anytime, would also include the name of Sengar in the murder of rape victim’s father in which his (Sengar) brother was already in jail after being arrested by the CBI.

The CBI which took Tinku Singh, on four days police custody remand on Thursday morning, grilled the accused after which he revealed the name of MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar and that four others of his aides, identified as Ram Saran Singh, Vinay Mishra aka Vineet, Virendra Singh aka Babuwa and Shashi Pratap Singh aka Suman Singh (Already arrested in the rape case), claiming that they got a fake case registered against the rape victim’s father showing recovery of arms from his possession. All the five including Sengar were taken in custody by CBI on Friday morning and they will be now confronted with Tinku Singh to extract that who provided the weapon.

Earlier the cops also took custody of two arrested policemen in the above case of arms recovery and had grilled them. “We grilled the than station officer of Makhi police station, Ashok Singh Bhadauriya, and sub-inspector Kamta Prasad Singh, to extract information that whom and under what circumstances they shown recovery of country made weapon from the possession of the victim’s father”, disclosed one of the CBI sleuths who also quizzed the two cops. The cops had also recorded the statement of then SP of Unnao, Geetanjali, as the investigation revealed that the MLA and one of his henchmen met her on the fateful night at her command office regarding the above case. It may be also mentioned here that some audio tapes regarding conversation between the MLA and victim’s uncle also revealed that how the MLA was threatening with dire consequences if the cases against him and his brother would be not withdrawn.
