United Methodist Church to hold Children's Sunday

FALL RIVER - United Methodist Church, 600 Highland Ave., announced this Sunday will be Children's Sunday and the children will perform skits, readings from scripture and the Children's choir will perform.

The following scriptures will be read by the children; 1 Samuel 8: 4-20 and 11: 14and 15, Psalm 138 and Mark 3: 20-35. Worship is followed by light refreshments, free to all, in the social hall.

Childcare will provided Sunday morning's during regular services. During the summer there will be no scheduled Sunday school.  Any questions or concerns, call the church at 508-676-3091 and ask for Kathy Morton- Superintendent of Sunday School.

On Monday evenings at 6:30 our prayer group “Sweet Hour of Prayer” meets and all are welcome.

Choir practice, led by Deb Carvalho, will practice on Sunday morning at 9 a.m., and Thursdays at 6:30 p.m. 

The church is supporting the Fall River Food Pantry.  Food donation items for this month will be canned fruits and vegetables.

Any day is a perfect time to donate needed items to our Veterans: socks, toiletries and peanut butter and jelly.
