Militants open fire at army foot patrol in Jammu and Kashmir's Bandipora

Militants today opened firing on an Army patrol in the forests of Bandipora district of Jammu and Kashmir, the police said.

SRINAGAR: Militants today opened firing on an Army patrol in the forests of Bandipora district of Jammu and Kashmir, the police said.

The ultras opened firing on a foot patrol of 14 Rashtriya Rifles at Raainaar forest in Bandipora, they said.

The area has been cordoned off and a search is on for the militants, the police said, adding no casualties have been reported so far.
