German backpacker last seen in Byron Bay missing for more than a week

Police have "serious concerns" for a 20-year-old German backpacker last seen in the Byron Bay area more than a week ago.
Jacqueline Kupke was seen on Friday, June 1 at an English language school in the town, but the 20-year-old did not show up to work on Monday and was reported missing on Thursday to Byron police.
Her family in Germany have told local police her disappearance is out of character and they have serious concerns for her welfare.
Jacqueline is described as Caucasian, about 170cm tall with a thin build, olive complexion, brown eyes and long brown hair.
Police are holding a press conference in Byron Bay at lunchtime today to try and gain more information about Ms Kupke's whereabouts.
They are urging anyone who sees Jacqueline, or knows her whereabouts, to contact them immediately or call Crime Stoppers.
