Anthony Bourdain grew up in Leonia and says his proximity to New York played a role in shaping his career, but he would always return to New Jersey, whether it was for hot dogs in Fort Lee or clams down the Shore. In one episode of 'Parts Unknown,' Bourdain visited what he called the 'screwed-up' places he used to know. 'Jersey is still awesome,' he said.
