Trooping the Colour 2018: 79-year-old Lord Guthrie FALLS from horse during ceremony
FIELD Marshall Lord Guthrie, 79, fell from his horse while travelling back to Buckingham Palace during the Trooping the Colour on Saturday.
Field Marshall Lord Guthrie, who is Colonel of the Life Guards, fell from his horse during the Trooping the Colour ceremony.
Immediately after the fall, police were seen running to Lord Guthrie’s aid while waiting for an ambulance to arrive.
Paramedics swiftly rushed to the scene to treat the army chief after he fell from his horse while making his way down The Mall.
The former Chief of the Defence Staff was treated at the scene before being taken away in an ambulance.

According to aides, the 79-year-old is being “well looked after”.
The Ministry of Defence also confirmed he was “receiving medical attention”.
The incident marginally delayed the RAF flypast as the Queen celebrated her official birthday.
Lord Charles Guthrie began his military career in 1957 and went on to become the head of the British army.
He was the Chief of the General Staff, a professional head of the British Army, and then chief of defence staff before he retired in 2001.

Lord Guthrie gave government advice during the Bosnian and Kosovo wars and played a key role in military operations in Northern Ireland.
Following his vast military career, he became a crossbencher in the House of Lords as Baron Guthrie of Craigiebank.
People took to Twitter to wish the former head army a speedy recovery.
Air Force veteran John Nichol wrote: "Hearing Field Marshal Lord Guthrie was thrown from his horse earlier.
"Really hope all is OK - a nicer General Officer you could not hope to meet. Wishing you well Sir."
