The state power department has set up teams at 28 substations across the city to keep tabs on the electricity supply and prevent cases of electrocution as the next three days are crucial since the Met department has predicted very heavy rainfall. The Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Ltd (MSEDCL) has geared up and will be available 24x7 for residents to solve any problems. “Around 28 engineers, along with their team, will posted for the next three days since the Met department has predicted that there will be very heavy rainfall. They will keep an eye on the low lying areas and in case there is waterlogging then we will immediately cut off the power supply so that there are no cases of electrocution,” said an MSEDCL official. tnn
