Chamonix: bars and nightlife

To be in with the action, stay in the resort centre – outside Chamonix town, the nightlife is quieter. The Chamo’Nuit night bus runs four services per evening, between 8.50pm and midnight, from Les Houches to Argentière via Chamonix. This might work for dining out purposes, but not for serious clubbing.

The Office & Les Marmottons

If staying in Argentière for easy access to Grand Montets challenges, The Office has music, sport on TV, pitchers, pizzas and powder chat. At the foot of Argentière’s home run you’ll find live music on the terrace at Les Marmottons.

Elevation 1904, Chambre 9 & Moö

In the early evening, the main youth focus in Chamonix is the triangle of bars with food, beer, cocktails and live music near the station on Avenue Michel Croz: the mellow Elevation 1904, the hectic-to-messy Chambre 9 (in Hotel Gustavia) and Moö, which brings interesting bands and a self-service beer tap to the party.

Chamonix Social Club, Bar du Moulin & Les Caves

At around 11pm, people move on to the Rue des Moulins for the Chamonix Social Club, the Bar du Moulin and Les Caves.
