Centre for Indian Trade Unions has strongly condemned the Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao’s statement warning to remove on-strike RTC workers and employees from service.
In a press conference here on Friday, the CITU district vice-president Sanjeev and secretary Noorjahan said that it was very unfair on the part of the government to avoid the implementation of the agreement reached between it and the workers and employees 15 months back. The ruling party leadership was whiling away the time with mere promises, they said.
Instead of solving the demands of the RTC workers the Chief Minister was unleashing threats.
He should understand that they had taken the decision to conduct a strike being worn out with repeated requests and representations. They were left with no alternative other than going on strike, said the CITU leaders.
