BENGALURU: The dissidence of MB Patil-led Congress MLAs has refused to die down, even after Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy, Dy CM G Parameshwara and other leaders of JD(S)-Congress coalition met Patil at his residence during the first half of Friday.

Speaking to the media after meeting Kumaraswamy, Patil said that he was not alone and had the support of '15-20 MLAs'.

"Though Congress party has dumped me, I am not going to dump the party," he said, criticising the Congress leadership.

Yet, these issues and of other MLAs will be raised in a meeting with Congress leaders, he said.

To a question on whether the dissidents would meet the party high command, he said that no decision has been taken with respect to the issue. "Whatever we do, we will do it as a team," he said, referring to the group including AICC secretary Satish Jarkiholi, Bengaluru MLAs Ramalinga Reddy, Roshan Baig and N A Haaris and others.

Kumaraswamy, following the meeting, said that his meeting was a courtesy visit.

"Congress will resolve it's issue within its party," he said.

Earlier in the day, ministers R V Deshpande, D K Shivkumar and K J George had met the disgruntled leader.

Meanwhile, protests were also held in front of KPCC office by Haaris supporters.
