Costa Rica did not show much ambition, but Butland did have to make one good save to keep out a shot from Venegas. 7/10

Phil Jones
The Manchester United man is unlikely to have dislodged Kyle Walker with this display, even though he did not do anything wrong. 6/10

The only player who started against Nigeria to start again at Elland Road and he did not put a foot out of place. 7/10

Harry Maguire
Maguire travelled to the Euros as a fan, but will go to the World Cup with a very realistic chance of starting for England. 6/10
