A two-year-old boy died after falling into a nullah at Chembur’s Cheetah camp on Thursday.

Arihan Parvez Tamboli was passing through the area with his mother around 1.30 p.m. when he slipped and fell into a roadside drain. “I got a call that the boy could not be found. When I reached the spot, the residents had pulled him out. We rushed him to hospital, but he could not survive,” said corporator Shahnawaz Shaikh. He said shoddy work by the desilting contractor caused the drain to overflow.
