BMW G 310 R and 310 GS – What you need to know

Conceived from scratch, the G 310 R has been designed as a bike for the world market and brings the BMW brand to customers who are looking for a product that boasts of a high quality yet is positioned in a more pocket-friendly price bracket. It is a stylish looking motorcycle that has that pure essence of a BMW roadster and is touted to be quite a performer!

The BMW G 310 GS is built for adventure and has the pure qualities that one associates with BMW Motorrad’s GS range of adventure motorcycles, however like its roadster sibling, this bike brings that level of quality in to a more affordable package. Touted to be nimble and agile on the road, the G 310 GS can handle a fair share of dirt as well and will open the doors to a whole new era of adventure riding for those who seek that thrill on two wheels.

Both bikes are powered by the same 313cc, liquid cooled, single cylinder engine that incidentally also does duty in the TVS Apache RR 310 that was launched recently. The BMW Motorrad bikes are touted to offer 34 hp of power and 28 Nm of torque and will also sport a six-speed gearbox. Both bikes are built at the TVS factory in Hosur and are expected to be priced aggressively. Stay tuned as more news will trickle in as BMW gears up for the launch.
