• In a seesaw affair, Triple-A Columbus (29-29) blew a four-run lead after seven and fell behind, 5-4, in the ninth but plated two runs in the bottom of the ninth for a 6-5 win over visiting Buffalo. Yandy Diaz tied the game at 5 with a home run to right. With two outs, Francisco Mejia doubled to left, and Drew Maggi singled in Mejia to cap the rally.

• Double-A Akron (35-26) plated five runs in the third en route to an 8-2 win at Portland. Connor Marabell went 2-for-5 with three RBI, and Aaron Civale tossed four shutout innings, allowing two hits and no walks and striking out a pair, for the RubberDucks.

• Single-A Lynchburg (26-30) committed five errors, were 2-for-10 with runners in scoring position and left 11 runners on base in a forgettable 9-3 loss to visiting Potomac. Jodd Carter went 2-for-4 with a double, run and two RBI for the Hillcats.

• Ulysses Cantu doubled and had an RBI, but Single-A Lake County (25-36) fell, 5-4, at Great Lakes. Leadoff man Ernie Clement doubled, walked twice and scored a run for the Captains.

• The DSL Indians (3-3) wasted some solid pitching from Mike Garcia and two relievers in a 2-0 loss to the DSL Red Sox. Garcia worked four shutout innings, yielding one hit, walking two and striking out two, and Daniel Aguilar walked twice and singled.
