KATHMANDU: Two persons died and 30 others sustained injuries after the pickup jeep they were travelling on met with an accident in Bardaghat Municipality-16 in Nawalparasi (Bardaghat Susta West) on Thursday night.
The deceased has been identified as Samjhana Pariyar (22) and Mina Devi Gurung (45), both residents of Singaha in Susta Rural Municipality-1 in the district.
According to police, the incident occurred when the jeep (Na 3 Cha 4534) lost its control and overturned in Siddhanagar at 9:00 pm yesterday, killing two on the spot and injuring 30 others.
Injured passengers were rushed to Manigram-based Crimson Hospital in Rupandehi district where they have been undergoing treatment, informed police.
Meanwhile, further investigation into the case is underway, said police.
