The 72nd Tony Awards, happening this Sunday, June 10, take place at a time when the Broadway experience has never been more lucrative for theaters and producers, or more expensive for ticket-buyers.

Shows including “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child,” “The Band’s Visit,” “Once on This Island,” “Mean Girls,” “Angels in America” and “Frozen” will battle it out for New York’s theater equivalent of the Oscars.

The Tonys, which are being held at Manhattan’s Radio City Music Hall and presented by Sara Bareilles and Josh Groban, will be televised on CBS.

Stars including Claire Danes, Robert De Niro and Carey Mulligan will be attending the awards together with nominees Amy Schumer, Tina Fey and Andrew Garfield. Bruce Springsteen, who has electrified Broadway with his hit show, is picking up a special Tony Award and will perform at the ceremony.
