BHUBANESWAR: Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas Dharmendra Pradhan on Thursday said the Khurda-Balangir rail line will be completed within next two years if the land required for the project is handed over to the Railways by the State Government this year.
East Coast Railway has kept all infrastructure ready for the line including manpower and materials. The only constraint before Railways is non-availability of land from State Government, Pradhan told reporters after a review meeting with senior official of East Coast Railway here.
“Sooner the State Government provided land for Khurda-Bolangir railway line project the better. If the State provides land this year, the project will be completed in 2 years,” he said. Leader of the BJP legislature party KV Singhdeo, former MP from Balangir Sangeeta Singhdeo and members of the Balangir citizen committee were present.
