Anthony Bourdain, host of CNN's food and travel show Parts Unknown, died June 8 of suicide. CNN confirmed his death Friday morning, and immediately tributes from Bourdain's colleagues at the network began flooding social media. They shared memories, quotes and entreaties to live like Bourdain, with many also encouraging anyone struggling with depression to seek help.

In a memo to staff obtained by Deadline, CNN president Jeff Zucker called Bourdain "an exceptional talent. A storyteller. A gifted writer. A world traveler. An adventurer. He brought something to CNN that no one else had ever brought before. Tony will be greatly missed, not only for his work but also for the passion with which he did it."

This is so awful.

Anthony Bourdain, 61, has died. He took his own life.

He was in France working on an upcoming episode of his award-winning CNN series. His close friend Eric Ripert, the French chef, found Bourdain unresponsive in his hotel room Friday morning.

The suicides of Anthony Bourdain and Kate Spade this week are a reminder: No matter how successful, wealthy or seemingly happy you are, we all battle our own demons.

Reach out to one another. Destigmatize depression, addiction and anxiety.

We are all in this together.

I don't want to overwhelm but the tragedies of #Bourdain and #KateSpade are shining a light on #suicide - a plague that we too often ignore. Putting up a number is not enough. Watch this and you can make a difference. I have seen the results first hand. https://t.co/zSUSAnINox
