Kerameri police in Kumram Bheem Asifabad district on Friday booked cases against three illegal occupants of vacant Kolam houses at Kopaguda hamlet of Metta Pipri gram panchayat in Kumram Bheem Asifabad district.
They were booked for house trespass and criminal intimidation. Three Lambada farmer families had illegally occupied the vacant houses in the village as they needed to frequently visit their fields which were close to the partially abandoned habitation.
Adivasi elders had objected to this illegal occupation which had the police getting the Lambadas vacate the houses, according to Asifabad DSP A. Satyanarayana.
