MALTA – The 13th annual Malta Days Festival is set to begin Friday and goes through Sunday night on Route 38 in downtown Malta, 5 miles west of DeKalb.

Highlights for this year’s festival include on Friday, Back Country Roads performing at 9 p.m.; on Saturday, the Malta Fire Department pancake breakfast from 6:30 a.m. to 11 a.m.; the 5K Tractor Trot at 9 a.m.; a Wild West show at 1 p.m.; a petting zoo and pony rides from noon to 5 p.m. and fireworks at 9 p.m.; and Sunday, a parade at 11 a.m.

The festival also includes carnival rides, a beer garden, business and craft booths and a variety of food vendors. Unlimited day ride wristbands are available for $20.
