Bengaluru: 13-year-old student found dead under mysterious circumstances

A 13-year-old girl was found dead under mysterious circumstances at her hostel room in the Indus International School, Sarjapura near Attibele on Thursday morning.

BENGALURU: A 13-year-old girl was found dead under mysterious circumstances at her hostel room in the Indus International School, Sarjapura near Attibele on Thursday morning. The deceased has been identified as Vaishali, who was studying in 7th standard and she was residing at the hostel Billapura cross. 

A senior police officer from Sarjapura police station said that the incident came to light in the early morning when her roommates found her unconscious and she was rushed to a nearby hospital where she was declared brought dead. The reason for the death is yet to be ascertained. Vaishali's mother Suguna in her statements said that Vaishali had a health issue which might have caused her death. However, Suguna made no allegations against hostel staff, school authorities so far.

The exact cause for the death will be ascertained once the postmortem will be conducted and a case of unnatural death has been registered and further investigations are. The school authorities yet to give their statement.

The staff in the Oxford Hospital and Research Centre, Attibele said, "The girl was rushed to the hospital at 7.15 am and she was declared brought dead. Then Sarjapura police were alerted." School authorities were not available for comment when Express contacted them over repeated phone calls.
