Disabled female employees in Haryana to get childcare allowance of `1,500/month

The Haryana Government has decided to give special monthly allowance of Rs 1,500 for childcare to female Government employees with disability. “Chief Minister Manohar Lal has approved allowances for Government employees in various categories,” said an official spokesman.

“For the first time in history of Haryana, the female Government employees with disabilities would get special monthly allowance of Rs 1,500 for child care. Similarly, the convenience allowance to handicapped employees would be allowed at the rate of 10 per cent of the basis pay subject to minimum Rs 2,500 and maximum Rs 7,200 per month plus Dearness Allowance (DA),” said the spokesman.

He said that the State Government has also decided to enhance the children education allowance from Rs 750 per month to Rs 1,125 per month, double the fixed medical allowance from Rs 500 per month to Rs 1,000 per month, Non Practicing Allowance (NPA) of doctors at the rate of 20 per cent of revised basic pay, special allowance for safai karmcharis from Rs 350 per month to Rs 625 per month, uniform and washing allowance for Group D from Rs 240 per month to Rs 440 per month, hill compensatory allowance from minimum Rs 200 per month to Rs 350 per month and maximum from Rs 400 per month  to Rs 700 per month and cycle allowance from Rs 100 per month to Rs 200 per month.

The spokesman said the committee constituted to revise the House Rent Allowance (HRA) and Travelling Allowance would soon submit its report in this regard.

During the State-level function on Civil Services Day in Panchkula on April 21, the Chief Minister had announced to revise the allowances of State Government employees on the pattern of 7th Central Pay Commission, the spokesman added.
