All donations towards the Prime Minister's National Relief Fund(PMNRF) and the National Defence Fund(NDF) are notified for 100% deduction from taxable income under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act,1961

Power Minister R K Singh has said, all meters will be smart prepaid in the next three years and advised meter manufacturers to scale up the production to bring down the prices.

Mr Singh was addressing a meeting of meter manufacturers called by the Power Ministry in New Delhi today.

The Minister also advised the officials of the Ministry to consider making smart prepaid meters mandatory after a particular date.

He said, this will revolutionize the power sector by reducing electricity losses and ease of bill payments. It will also generate skilled employment for the youth.
