JAC to declare Inter (Sc,Com) results today

The Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) will declare Inter (Science and Commerce) results on Thursday on its premises. JAC Chairperson Arvind Prasad Singh said that all preparations regarding announcement of intermediate results have been made. According to an official of JAC, the results will be declared after 2 PM. Students can log onto www.jac.ac.in and www.jharresult.nic.in to check their board results.

This year as many as 1.5 lakh students from across Jharkhand have appeared in the Inter board examination at 1490 centres. “Due to some technical issues, results were delayed. However, the team has been successful in announcing the results in the first week of June. Within one week, we will be announcing the results of Matric,” said Singh. The Inter exam was started on March 8 and continued till April 3.

Meanwhile, the JAC Chairperson assured that within next week by June 10-11, the council will announce the Inter (Humanities) results. According to last year record, 52.36 students passed intermediate exam. “We are hoping for the best and expecting that the pass percentage will increase this year,” said Singh.

In the State Capital, 39,334 students appeared in the intermediate examination at 42 centres from different streams. Dhanbad district registered the maximum number of examination centres for both Matric and Intermediate examination. Over 72 exam centres for intermediate exam were demarcated in Dhanbad.

Meanwhile, merely 14 examination centers were listed in Pakur district with the JAC where over 6746 students took Matric exam while around 3812 students took the intermediate examination. This academic year, right from registration to provision of e-admit cards and other examination related activities were carried through online mode. Also, for the first time, examinations were conducted under CCTV cameras’ surveillance.
