UP: 5-year boy sexually assaulted in Ballia

VARANASI: A five-year-old boy was allegedly sexually assaulted by a man at a village under the Dokati police station area of Ballia district on Thursday.
The boy was admitted to the district hospital. The police lodged an FIR under section 377 (unnatural offences) of IPC and POCSO Act against the accused, who is absconding.

According to reports, the boy was lured by one Vishal Yadav, who allegedly sexually assaulted him at a secluded place and fled from the spot. Vishal, a resident of Bairia, had gone to his relatives’ place in Dokati area.

A local resident informed the police following which the boy was admitted to the district hospital. On the complaint of boy’s father, the police lodged an FIR against Vishal. The police said that a manhunt was launched to nab the accused.
