Mortal Engines is based on the famous four-part novel series by Philip Reeve.

In a post-apocalyptic world, an apprentice historian and a fugitive, with starkly different personalities, join hands to fight the common enemy Valentine and stop London from getting destroyed. The fast paced Mortal Engines which is set in London, gives a peek into a world where machines gain supremacy over humans. Cities are mounted on wheels and motorised, while human beings are on a quest to save their dying resources.

Hester Shaw, played by Hera Hilmar, wants to avenge the murder of her mother, by the ruthless Thaddeus Valentine (Hugo Weaving). She seeks Tom’s (Robert Sheehan) help to stop the launch of the harmful missile “MEDUSA” that has the potential to erase half the city, if not stopped on time.

While Valentine might have a powerful army to help him, Hester and Tom only have each other. Will the two succeed?

Mortal Engines is based on the famous four-part novel series by Philip Reeve.

The film is directed by Oscar-winning visual effects director Christian Rivers, who has previously worked on all time classics such as The Lord of the Rings, King Kong and The Hobbit.

The screenplay, written by Fran Walsh, Philippa Boyens and Peter Jackson, is guaranteed to take viewers on an epic adventure into a post-apocalyptic world.

The film has a stellar cast comprising of Robert Sheehan, Hera Hilmar, Stephen Lang, and Hugo Weaving to name a few. Mortal Engines is produced by Universal Pictures and Media Rights Capital and is scheduled for a December 2018 release.
