Mumbai: Hitting out at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangha (RSS), at the iftar, held at the Haj House, Sharad Pawar, the president of Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) said, these parties should stop playing with the sentiments of Muslims in this holy month of ramzan.
“The people who time and again disrupt brotherhood, there is a political party and an organisation based in Nagpur which has hosted a roza iftar party. I strongly believe that people’s sentiments should not be hurt in the holy month of ramzan,” said Pawar.
NCP leader did not stop here, he continued to hit out at prime minister Narendra Modi, without naming him. “A few years ago, a programme was organised in Ahmedabad, which was attended by a big person. When someone tried to make him wear a skull cap, he had refused it,” said Pawar. The iftar was attended by all NCP leaders.
