• Clippers: Visiting Norfolk touched up the Triple-A Columbus bullpen for six runs in the eighth inning to win, 7-4. Adam Plutko, who pitched a no-hitter in his last outing, went six innings and gave up one run on three hits. He struck out five and didn’t walk a batter. Infielder Adam Rosales had a sacrifice fly and a run-scoring double for the Clippers (28-29), and outfielder Bradley Zimmer homered.

• RubberDucks: In his Double-A debut, Triston McKenzie gave up one hit in five shutout innings as visiting Akron (34-26) beat New Hampshire, 7-4. McKenzie (1-0) struck out four and walked two. DH Andrew Calica was 2-for-3 with a double, a two-run home run, a run scored and a walk.

• Hillcats: Host Wilmington sent advanced Single-A Lynchburg (26-29) to defeat, 7-4. Hillcats starter Tanner Tully yielded six runs in five innings. Lynchburg had eight hits, all by different players. Mitch Longo (Mayfield) doubled and scored a run.

• Captains: First baseman Jose Vicente hit two home runs, and host Single-A Lake County (25-35) finished off a three-game sweep of Dayton, 5-2.
