The External Affairs ministry today said efforts are being made to ensure release and safe return of abducted Indian nationals in Afghanistan. The ministry is in touch with Afghan authorities and a meeting is being scheduled between the Foreign Ministers of both countries. Responding to media query in New Delhi today, the External Affairs ministry spokesperson Raveesh Kumar said, Pakistan is using ceasefire violations as a cover to infiltrate terrorists into India. He said, there has been more than one thousand ceasefire violations in a year that has resulted in many loss of lives. On a query about Zakir Naik's extradition from Malaysia, the spokesperson said that they are waiting for the response from the Malaysian authorities on the matter.
Mr Kumar said, the ministry is also committed on the extradition of Vijay Mallya. When asked about the whereabouts of Nirav Modi, he said there is no information on his location for now.
