AB Klaipėdos Nafta preliminary activity and revenue results for the May 2018

In May 2018 AB Klaipėdos nafta (hereinafter – the Company) has reloaded 637 thousand tons of petroleum products in Klaipėda and Subačius oil terminals (in May 2017 - 668 thousand tons were reloaded).

During the first five months of 2018 the Company in total reloaded 3,079 thousand tons of petroleum products into its storage tanks or more by 15.9 per cent compared to the same period of 2017 when 2,657 thousand tons were reloaded.
The overall increase in loading volumes for the five months were determined by increased transit  cargo flows.

„Loading rates, compared to the same period last year, were higher because of our lasting work with clients and flexibility of terminal, which allows to reload different types of products. This year we are planning to continue exploiting our strengths and increase the efficiency of investments“, said Mindaugas Jusius, CEO of KN.

The Company is currently implementing investment stage II, there are plans to build 10 new oil product tanks, a new unloading rack and a new railway track. After these projects are implemented, KN oil terminal will not only be able to reload bigger quantities of oil products, but also accept a wider range of oil products and their component types for reloading at a time.

During implementation of development projects until 2020 there are planned investments not only for infrastructure objects, but for environmental measures as well. Total amount of 4,4 million EUR are dedicated for pollution prevention and environmental technologies.

In May 2018 the Company’s Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) terminals has re-gasified and reloaded 1,450 thousand MWh of natural gas, while in May 2017 – 1,233 thousand MWh. During the first five months of 2018 the Company in total re-gasified and reloaded 3,700 thousand MWh of the natural gas (during the same period of 2017 – 4,210 thousand MWh).

The preliminary sales revenue of the Company’s oil terminals’ for May 2018 amount to EUR 3.2 million (during the same period of 2017 - EUR 3.3 million). The preliminary sales revenue for January – May 2018 of the Company’s oil terminals comprise EUR 16.9 million and are higher by 16.6 per cent compared to the same period of 2017 (EUR 14.5 million).

The preliminary sales revenue of the Company’s LNG Terminal for May 2018 comprise to EUR 5.3 million (May 2017 – EUR 5.5 million). Revenue consists of the re-gasification tariff fixed part (for booked annual capacities) and variable part for amount of regasified LNG as well as and reloading tariffs. The preliminary revenue of the LNG terminal for the first five months of 2018 comprise EUR 27.3 million and are lower by 7.5 per cent compared to the same period of 2017 (EUR 29.5 million).

Total preliminary sales revenue of the Company in first five months of 2018 amount to EUR 44.2 million (during the same period of 2017 - EUR 44.0 million, i.e. more by 0.5 per cent).
