Kolkata-Port Blair flight with 167 passengers on board returns after technical snag

A Port Blair-bound Go Air flight returned to Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport in Kolkata on Thursday soon after taking off after a technical snag was detected.

A Port Blair-bound Go Air flight with 167 passengers on board returned to Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport in Kolkata on Thursday soon after taking off after a technical snag was detected.

Flight G8 101, which reported heavy engine vibration, made an emergency landing at around 8.57 am and all the passengers were safe, said an Airport Authority of India release. The flight was subsequently cancelled for the day and will depart on Friday.
