BALLWIN, Mo. — A west St. Louis County tech store fell victim to thieves overnight Wednesday, and police think this may not have been a standalone crime.
Around 2:30 a.m., Ballwin police said they received an alarm call for iTechshark at 14800 Manchester Road. When officers arrived, they found a broken-out front door along with a vehicle speeding off. The drivers of the car nearly struck the responding officer's patrol car, but police did not pursue the suspects.
The car believed to be a part of the theft was last seen turning westbound onto Manchester Road. It is currently unknown what was stolen from the store.
Police are investigating whether or not Wednesday's robbery could be connected to similar incidents in both Ellisville and Chesterfield.
iTechshark was previously burglarized in December 2016, in which the thieves stole about 30 iPhone's and one iMac computer.
