Yogi's 46 celebrated with sans pomp and show

With Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath turning 46 on Tuesday, his birthday was celebrated sans pomp and show. On his borthday, Yogi however stayed away from any celebration and went to Kanpur to review development schemes. Prime Minister Narendra Modi was among the first to wish Yogi on his birthday.

In his tweet, the PM said, “Warm birthday wishes to Uttar Pradesh’s hardworking Chief Minister @myogiadityanath ji. Yogi Ji is unwavering in his effort to transform the state. I wish him a long and healthy life in service of the people.” BJP chief Amit Shah too wished the CM on his birthday. In his tweet, Shah wrote “Heartiest congratulation on the birthday of popular UP CM Yogi Adityanath. Wish him a healthy and long life.” Earlier in the morning, senior BJP leaders and cabinet colleagues went to Yogi’s official residence at 5, Kalidas Marg, to wish him long life with bouquets and returned within 10 minutes. Birthdays of CMs in the state used to be gala events. Be it Mayawati’s birthday or birthdays of Mulayam and Akhilesh, party leaders and government officers used to walk an extra mile to celebrate in style. In that context, Yogi’s birthday celebration was different and after accepting flowers, the CM went to Kanpur on an official engagement.
