Prime Minister's National Relief Fund(PMNRF) and National Defence Fund(NDF)

All donations towards the Prime Minister's National Relief Fund(PMNRF) and the National Defence Fund(NDF) are notified for 100% deduction from taxable income under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act,1961

The Bihar government has launched a new crop insurance scheme with effect from Kharif (monsoon) this year. The Bihar State Crop Assistance Scheme replaces the existing system of crop insurance.

The decision was taken in a cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. Under the scheme, farmers would be paid a compensation of seven thousand five hundred rupees per hectare if less than 20 percent of the standing crop is damaged and ten thousand in case damage is more than 20 percent. Farmers do not have to pay any premium as per the scheme.
