French Open: I Dodig, Y.Chan reached final of mixed doubles

In French Open Tennis, the duo of I Dodig and Y.Chan reached the final of mixed doubles in Paris today. The pair beat the duo of R.Farah and A.Gronefeld 4-6, 7-5,10-8. In the women’s draw, Garbine Muguruza and Simona Halep roared into the semi-finals.

Muguruza beat Maria Sharapova 6-2, 6-1 while Halep defeated Angelique Kerber 6-7, 6-3, 6-2. In men’s doubles, the pair of P.H.Herbert and N.Mahut defeated the duo of N.Jarry and M.Gonzalez 6-4, 7-6 to reach the semi-finals. In women’s doubles, the pair of E.Hozumi and M.Ninomiya entered the semis, beating T.Babos and K.Miladenovic 7-6, 6-3.

Both quarter-final men’s singles matches are now in progress. In the first match, defending champion Rafael Nadal who is seeking an unprecedented 11th Roland Garros crown, is taking on Diego Schwartzman. In the second match, Marin Cilic and Juan Martin del Potro are battling it out.
