Guv requests HRD to open Kendriya Vidyalas in border areas

Arunachal Pradesh (Retd) Dr B D Mishra has requested the Union Human Resources Development ministry for opening up of residential Kendriya Vidyalaya schools in few border districts of the state in conjunction with Navodaya Vidyalayas.

The governor, who is presently in the national capital, called on Union HRD yesterday and emphasized on opening of such schools in remote areas and higher reaches of the border districts, a Raj Bhawan release said here today.

"In addition to the help for our school going children, the people living in these areas will also be benefited by such schools in great measures.

This initiative will also help in the development of the area, generation of employment and livelihood," he said.
