Vadodara: The general secretary and representative of commerce faculty of MS University (MSU) gave an application to city police commissioner on Wednesday after the Sayajigunj police refused to entertain their complaint against university’s chief security officer P P Kanani.
The student leaders alleged that when they were guiding the students at the main building of the faculty on admission procedures, Kanani and other vigilance staff reached there and manhandled them.
After the face-off, they reached Sayajigunj police station to lodge complaint against Kanani. However, the police officials there refused to lodged a complaint.
“The student leaders were not beaten up as they are claiming. After verifying we learnt that the vigilance staff asked them to leave since there was lot of commotion where the admission process was on. Therefore the vigilance staff reached there and asked all those who were not seeking admissions to leave. But these students refused to leave which led to altercation,” said a police official.
