All donations towards the Prime Minister's National Relief Fund(PMNRF) and the National Defence Fund(NDF) are notified for 100% deduction from taxable income under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act,1961

IT and Law Minister Ravi Shakar Prasad today released Bhagat Singh’s jail diary book at a function in New Delhi. The jail diary book is a compilation of Bhagat Singh's writings. The minister expressed his gratitude to Bhagat Singh’s family members who were also present at the dias.

When asked about according martyr status to the freedom fighters, the law minister said he will consult with the Home ministry and will see if the government can form a statutory list of all freedom fighters.
