The ministry of social solidairty and the higher council of media management in Egypt agreed on removing the scenes that promote drug use and cigarettes from Egyptian series "Foq Al Sahab" (Above the Clouds).
Most of the scenes that were removed have a character called "Al Dob" (The Bear) that is played by actor Ibrahim Nassr. These scenes contain lots of negativity and drug promoting material.
A final warning was issued to the series production company and the channel that screens it declaring the importance of removing the scenes, that include any promotion for cigarettes and drugs from the upcoming episodes by watching them and reediting them.
The council emphasized on removing all the scenes with similiar content in previous epsiodes as well, in case of a series rerun, to make sure the series does not have a negative impact on the youth. The series will be axed in case what is asked was not followed.
"Foq Al Sahab" (Above the Clouds) series has Hani Salameh, Stephany Saliba, Ibrahim Nassr, Afaf Sheib, Mona Abdelghani, Nihal Anbar, Shady Alfons and Tony Maher in its cast and it is written by Hassan Dahshan, directed by Raouf Abdelaziz and produced by 'Synergy' company owned by Tamer Morsi.
