The allegations are made in a lawsuit filed Wednesday in Los Angeles.
Daniels is fighting to invalidate a confidentiality agreement she signed days before the 2016 presidential election.
The suit alleges Trump’s lawyer Michael Cohen “colluded” with Daniels’ then-attorney Keith Davidson to have her deny the relationship on Fox News after a tabloid magazine story about Daniels and Trump. Daniels didn’t end up giving the interview.
It also alleges Cohen met with first lady Melania Trump in March to tell her Daniels would disclose the alleged 2006 tryst in a lawsuit.
A spokesman for Davidson didn’t immediately comment. Cohen’s lawyer didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment.
