Eco-friendly initiatives rolled out at airport
Devi Ahilya Bai Holkar airport administration introduced green initiatives to reduce the use of plastic and promote organic material. The airport administration has replaced plastic garbage bags with environmental-friendly garbage bags. Also all food and beverages outlets are served in environmental-friendly paper plates and cups.
In afternoon, a talk by Padma Shri Janak Palta McGilligan was organised. A skit organised by a drama academy was staged in passenger area to sensitise passengers about environment protection. A board was put up for passengers to post their messages. Besides, a video film was played throughout the day describing why we should not use plastic.
Police Police personnel officer initiative
Police and members of Mahan agar Vikas Parishad jointly planted saplings at traffic police offices at Mhow Naka and Pipliyahana on Tuesday. DIG Harinarayanchhari Mishra, IMC chairman Ajay Singh Naruka, Additional SP (Traffic) Pradeep Singh Chouhan, SDO (forest) AK Saxena and Ramswarup Mundra also planted saplings
CII and Indian Women Network plant saplings
Indian Women Network and CII planted saplings at LNCT World School on Tuesday. Members took pledge to protect nature. The theme this year was ‘Beat Plastic Pollution’. Members discussed harmful effects of plastic, which is increasingly used all around.
IWN Indore chairperson, Nupur Singh said environmental degradation is a matter of concern. Therefore, everyone should make positive efforts to conserve nature and avoid materials like plastic, which harm humans and nature. “We should promote eco-friendly development in our country in order to save the environment for better future,” Singh said.
