Healthcare industry veterans François de Brantes and Dr. Amita Rastogi join team dedicated to transforming U.S. healthcare
Remedy Partners, the nation’s leading episodes of care company, today announced that François de Brantes and Amita Rastogi, M.D., have joined its growing executive team. De Brantes, a recognized expert in healthcare payment innovation and policy, has been appointed senior vice president of commercial business development and Dr. Rastogi, an experienced physician leader, has been appointed vice president and medical director. Both executives will support the company’s expansion into the private sector, serving insurers, self-funded employers and providers.
“Transforming the U.S. healthcare system to improve the quality and affordability of care is an ‘all-hands-on-deck’ effort that requires assembling the best possible team to deliver the most innovative and sophisticated solutions to market,” said Chris Garcia, chief executive officer of Remedy Partners. “François’ and Amita’s pioneering work in bundled payments and quality measurement round out the dream team we’re assembling to meet the needs of the private sector.”
As senior vice president of commercial business development, de Brantes will lead the effort to deliver Remedy Partners’ turnkey solutions to private sector clients. Prior to Remedy Partners, de Brantes worked at Altarum where he served as vice president and director of Altarum’s Center for Payment Innovation. Before that, he led the Health Care Incentives Improvement Institute (HCI 3), which was responsible for developing and implementing the groundbreaking PROMETHEUS Payment® model and merged with Altarum in December 2017.
As vice president and medical director, Dr. Rastogi will be responsible for leading the integration of clinical episodes into the various Remedy Partners programs. Prior to joining Remedy Partners, Dr. Rastogi was chief medical officer at HCI 3 where she was actively engaged in redesigning the New York State Medicaid program and incorporating cutting-edge thought leadership for healthcare payment and delivery reform. Before that, Dr. Rastogi served as senior director of the Physician Performance and Quality Programs at Ingenix (now Optum).
“Employers, providers and payers have increasingly been looking at ways to rapidly implement and scale sophisticated alternative payment models and value-based insurance design,” said de Brantes. “Remedy Partners is in a unique position to deliver those solutions today, positively impacting those who are paying an ever-increasing price for healthcare.”
