The former boss of collapsed electoral consultancy Cambridge Analytica has accused MPs of "building a conspiracy theory" against his company following a far-reaching data scandal.
Former chief executive Alexander Nix admitted the company had received Facebook data, contradicting his previous testimony, which had been harvested by a researcher using a quiz app. "Of course, the answer to this question should have been 'yes,'" Mr Nix said.
Cambridge Analytica used Facebook data for targeted adverts during the US election, data that was gathered on 87 million Facebook profiles by a researcher.
